Stick a fork in Hank- he's done

He can't complete a deep pass anymore. Can't seem to hang on to the ball when they need a big down. 2nd and inches and he fumbles while attempting to pass. :0 :pass: in a league where the defense must give a yard off the ball. :0 Both Ticat TD's were based on great individual efforts. Hank may be cr...

Re: Watch out Argos, TFC becoming tast of the town.

That's what MLSE will say, but in the early years you could not find an empty seat, nor see one on TV when TFC was playing. Today, the seats may be sold to MLSE's corporate friends but the asses are sure not occupying all the seats as you could see plenty of red seats while watching on TV, so it's n...

Re: Watch out Argos, TFC becoming tast of the town.

TFC also restricts the sale of season tickets because of the huge demand. The cut off is something like 18,000 and that gets you around 18 home games not including the tournaments and friendlies, the Argos are lucky to get 8,000 season tickets. CFL is a hard sell in Toronto. My sister took my 10 ye...

Re: has the cfl killed the argos with the new schedule?

Hey..."Gill the Thrill".... Our Lord of Plumpness, should stick to being Mayor.... My point is only that the Mayor of Toronto should publically support the local teams...not be out chasing american skirts..... Fact is the media made a much bigger deal than it really was. The Ford's are Chicago Bear...

Re: has the cfl killed the argos with the new schedule?

Hey..."Gill the Thrill".... Nice rant...i dont disagree with most of what your saying...but our mayor.. "His Fatness"...made a huge error in publically announcing his hope for a franchise in the OTHER league. You know for a fact the WEASEL's like Paul Godfrey, Rudy Bratti, Phil Lind, etc, are all g...

Re: Jets back in Winnipeg? Does this hurt the bombers?

In a perfect world, no it won't hurt the Bombers, but I think it could have some impact in what others have mentioned such as corporate sponsors and advertisements. Maybe one could look at Bombers attendance figures anecdotally following good seasons that the Winnipeg Jets had. Even though they were...

Re: CFL is minor leagues - lets end this foolishness

Ask yourself if you want a 'Major League' CFL with most of the best Canadian players who feel honoured to play in the league and cherish playing for a Grey Cup, or whether you want a 'Minor League' CFL full of Americans who are hired because the predominantly American GM's and Head Coaches know more...

Re: What is Canada's Third Most Favourite Sport?

I've known for 20 years that Curling gets phenomenal ratings on TV. Big curling tournaments like the Brier and even the Scotties to some extent takes precedence over Blue Jays baseball and even NHL late season games with only one Canadian team featured. People in and around the cosmopolitan GTA may ...

Re: has the cfl killed the argos with the new schedule?

I like Canadian Football, but the Argos have a tough time with scheduling because of perennial fly-by-night owners who've talked a bigger game than they've been willing to invest. Our last local owners were no different, they talked about building a stadium but did not really want to invest anythin...

Re: 2011 Worlds

Quite frankly, this tournament is played way too often to really be considered a World Championship. You don't see FIFA playing the World Cup every year, why would the IIHF do this? As a North American who never sees their countries bring their best players because of the Stanley Cup playoffs, it's ...

Re: has the cfl killed the argos with the new schedule?

Why not just move into BMO field...of course it would need to be upgraded...for a REAL sport. Nobody cares about that stupid soccer team anyhow... As stated previously..Rogers wants to destroy the Argo's, (and with it the CFL). No one cares about the soccer team???? Why do they have twice as many s...
