Re: If You Could Change 1 Rule For Next Year, What Would It

If you throw an interception why should you be rewarded with a point? But then seeing as you get rewarded for missing a field goal that might actually make sense. Teams are not rewarded for missing a field goal and wouldn't be rewarded for throwing an INT. Teams would be rewarded for preventing the...

Re: Ottawa Needs A Name...

If they go with a colour-based name, I hope they include the 'and': Red and Blacks. Otherwise, it sounds like 'red' is modifying 'blacks' as in 'Communist Africans' or something.

Re: If You Could Change 1 Rule For Next Year, What Would It

As much as I agree with you, I would have a hard time having less of it, That's almost like saying, if you want to improve your sex life, have less of it... I guess that would mean I have the best sex life possible! :good: I'd like to see INTs downed in the endzone not be given free yardage. Start ...

Re: Ottawa Needs A Name...

I'd be happy with any of the name suggestions (just don't go back to Renegades). Rough Riders would be cool to have back and would add spice to the games against Regina. Some of the new name suggestions might be more appropriate to the region in this century and be more appealing to the key demograp...

Re: New jerseys across the league

Hate the boring retro stripes on Hamilton, Toronto, and Edmonton. ... Yeah, those three kind of went with the 70s/80s cookie-cutter, throw-some-stripes-on-the-sleeves-and-call-it-a-day design approach. The best uniforms IMO are the ones from the 1970s and 1980s. I am not totally crazy about Edmonto...

Calgary's are the biggest improvements, IMO . . . but their last ones were the worst, so they had...

Re: Canada Day games thread

A nice second half, especially the fourth Q. Calgary will have to do something with their FG kicker.

Really hope Owens and Pottinger will be OK. The Argos can't afford to lose those guys.

Re: Canada Day games thread

Nice pass by Lemon for the TD.

Close first half. Stamps have been moving the ball well, but can't finish. Early season games are often like this, it seems. Teams are still working out the kinks.

One of the most consistent kickers before last season . . . he's got to end up somewhere . . . maybe Toronto? back out west somewhere?

Re: Jets back in Winnipeg? Does this hurt the bombers?

If anything, it'll effect them in a negative way, I think. Some fans just might not have the money to attend Bombers games if they spend a load on Jets tickets. How big this effect would be, I"m not sure.

Re: Honest expansion

1. Only one team per telephone area code. 2. Between primary and secondary markets, there should be a population base of at least one million people. 3. No new franchise should be located within a 500 km radius of an existing franchise. Does it help or hinder the league that Hamilton and Toronto (a...

Re: Canada Votes 2011

One thing Harper should remember: He may have won a majority, but 60% of the people did not vote for him. Is he going to take that into consideration? Somehow, I doubt it. :thdn: Yeah, it reminds me of the days when we had the Reform party and the PCs splitting the conservative vote and allowing th...

Re: Canada Votes 2011

I'm most interested to see what he does regarding the Senate. After the liberals decided they could better choose Alberta's representative than the voters of Alberta could, they lost my vote for good. I hope the Senate becomes elected. Abolished would be my second choice. If nothing happens on that ...
