Any football league that stays within its means and delivers what it promises is worth at least one look. Mind you, they're few and far between.

And see, my thought process tells me that it'd be just fine to have an American (that is, one not knowledgeable on the CFL game) as a position coach to teach skills, but the one I'd want running the ship is someone that's been there and done that with the CFL rules and strategies, even if it was jus...

More football training is one thing, but I can tell you for a fact that American coaches don't spend a lot of time with twelve man football, the larger field, or the rouge possibilities. I'd think a guy that had played the CFL game and went on to the US to coach would be a much better option than so...

I believe Ross was one of those that Trump talked into doing so. I don't think Perez was around at that point, but reference material (besides the book "The $1 League") is very hard to find on the subject. Time does heal all wounds, and we even saw Trump attend a draft in a spotlight role. I just di...

Off the beaten path for a moment, but I'd chuckle if the sale to Perez and Ross goes through. Ross was the final owner of the Baltimore Stars, winners of two of three USFL champions. He bought the team after the final game, but before the anti-trust trial in the summer of 1986.

The NFL does a great job putting it on, a good promotional tool, to be sure, but they delve into the history of the game a lot too.

I think you're reading into the song selection a wee bit too much. That song was gonna be played regardless of what Cohon did, and given that unless Cohon declared outright war on the NFL, he was going to be seen as sucking up to the NFL in some circles, you're talking a no-win situation here.

Take into account the viewing distance. The further away you are, the more likely Plasma is the right choice. Also, if it's a darker room, Plasma seems to project better in that circumstance too. LCD does cut down on glare, but doesn't seem to stand out as much if it doesn't need it's glare-reducing...

So you're gonna teach officials two sets of rules? Or put some prospective officials on the track to do CFL games instead of NFL games? Yeah, that'll work well, I'm sure.

What cflschedule failed to mention is that the AFL had a hook in playing a dramatically different game, and even so, before the NFL invested heavily in it, it was never stable, and playing franchise roulette to the point where you had to seriously wonder about the long-term prognosis for the league....

Spring football with a league that went head-up with the NFL (USFL) didn't work. Spring football with gimmicks (XFL) didn't work. Spring football supported by the NFL (WLAF, NFLE) didn't work on not one but two continents. Why would this be any different?

We need that Boise State magic next week. :whs: And I expect that we shall see it! :beauty: Joe... you're in for Grey Cup, right? If I had money, I would be. Unfortunately, I don't. And THIS is the one I have to miss because of that. I think I would have walked to work all year if I'd have k...
