Re: Offensive Pass Interference

Hand fighting is generally tolerated when it is the receiver who is constantly initiating it. In that case, I have no problem with the defender returning the favour. On this play, Rainey, who is not an every down receiver, was looking to just chase down the ball with no intention of getting mixed up...

Re: Playoff Contenders Determined

Questionable coaching.
Bingo !
Any other team would have gone with some degree of BLITZ just to see how well the emergency subs and Messam would react.
Might not have added up to any sacks at all, but it would have given Messam something else to think about between carries.

Re: Ricky Ray to start next game

The absence of Harris from this game simply had me thinking that the trust from the coach was back with the veteran Ray.
Turnovers were an issue for Harris, and that would very likely get better over time.
Not sure if Milanovich is going to invest that time in Harris with a healthy Ray in uniform.

Re: Playoff Contenders Determined

Cats got their act together just long enough for the best kicker in the league to put them into the East Final.

Wow, Katy, Texas came out of Rod Black's backside only once during today's broadcast.

Lions unable to score a touchdown in their last eight quarters.
Enough said.

Re: Offensive Pass Interference

OPI should not be up for challenge. It would simply be one more scenario that the replay booth would bungle more often than not. Lions got jobbed today when DPI was overturned. Really ??? The defender made subtle but deliberate contact with the receiver three times before the ball arrived. The right...

Re: Ricky Ray to start next game

Argos can't be blamed for going with Ray in today's narrow loss to the Cats.
Looks like he has his job back for 2016.

Too bad they didn't
Yeah
Too bad for Mr Braley
Two franchises
Zero home playoff games
Can't sell either team if that keeps recurring

The turn around in Montreal and the disintegration in Winnipeg can be summed up mostly in two words
Offensive line

Re: Tiger-Cats' March to the Grey Cup Thread

First things first
Lions at Alouettes
Who advances to the East final in Hamilton
Put this game squarely on the Lions' defense.
Offense and special teams need to at least keep their collective heads above the water.

Re: Lions guarantee win over ‘Riders Sunday

This game lived up to expectations. Riders controlled the ball and the clock better than the home team. Don't take anything away from them. I will throw the Lions' coaches under the bus for the way they bungled the use of their challenges. Firstly, why bother challenging pass interference unless it ...

Re: Who will win the 2014 Grey Cup?

History has a way of repeating itself.
Yeah, the novelty of the new stadium is gone, again.
The tickets did not sell-out overnight, but that by itself cannot be a meaningful way to measure interest in the next Greg Cup party.
This is still money in the bank, and Mr Braley knows it.

Forget the billboard for just a moment and look at the bold letters at the bottom. PATTISON. Yeah they do own a lot of billboards on the west coast. Isn't this particular game being "presented" by Save-On-Foods, also owned by PATTISON. Remember back in the late 80's, when PATTISON was interested in ...

Re: Ottawa VS Edmonton 31-31 Prediction

Reilly is the man of the match in the re-match.
Burris played as well as could be expected, but he did not make plays with his legs.
Reilly deserved the win just on his rushing yards alone.

Re: Finally NFL talk dead in Toronto !!!

The corporate boys club of the NFL has very little appetite for a foreign franchise. But their collective ego and greed loves the hype that foams away with such talk. Why else would they stage individual games overseas, profit potential aside. Seriously, will people like the Brits turn away from the...

Re: Who will be the red blacks starting Qb?

Burris would have been over 300 yards in passing, if not for the inexcusable drops.
In the end, Reilly had the better game, because of his running. He deserved the win, even with the Ottawa defense keeping him out of the end-zone.
