Re: THS continues

Well it looks like they will finally play the first game at Tim Hortons Field on Labour day, yes it won't be completely ready with only 18 000 seats available but its a lot better than playing in front of 6500 at mac. This stadium has been quite the journey and it has taken longer than expected but ...

Re: Game of the week

My pick for game of the week its the most obvious one CGY vs EDM in the labour day classic, nice to see this match up mean something again with both teams at 7-1. SSK vs WPG should be very interesting as well and since I'm a Ticats fan the Argos vs Ticats is a must watch even with their lack luster ...

Re: Game of the week

I hope that's not the case, hopefully the east will start getting some wins soon. A 3-4 Hamilton team vs a 4-4 Argos team would be a good showdown on Labour day for first place.

Game of the week

SSK vs WPG has to be the favourite for game of the week, really looking forward to it two very good teams a packed house in WPG and the weather looks perfect. I also think Ham vs BC will be another good game, Hamilton usually plays well in BC and should be a close one. The other two games on the oth...

Re: Montreal in Decline

Herb Zurkowsky wrote a piece this week quoting a anonymous player with the AL's accusing Chad Johnson of not knowing the playbook he also said "this ain't no slap dick vacation league, put the best players on the field that want to play" another source said that Duron Carter is not very well liked in...

Re: Who will be the red blacks starting Qb?

The problem with Glenn is where else is he going to start? The only possibility is Winnipeg but at the press conference to announce the signing of Drew Willy, Mike Oshea declared Willy the starting QB. BC is interested in Glenn as well to play him behind Lulay of course,I suspect either he will stay...

Re: Tim Leiweke’s comments about putting a Grey Cup at BMO F

It seems that all signs point to the Argos moving to a renovated BMO field, unless Leiwekeke is just flapping his gums spewing out ideas he has in his head without discussing it with anyone else. I just hope if the Argos do end up at BMO they are treated fairly and thrive.

Re: Ladies and Gentlemen .. your Ottawa RedBlacks

This time around it's going to work in Ottawa, better expansion draft to give the RedBlacks a running start oppose to what the Renegades had to pick from, solid local ownership and a revamped stadium. I cant wait to see them on the field.

Re: Who will win the 101st Grey Cup?

Ticats of course, it's been an up and down road since 1999 mostly down but I think this might be their time. It wont be easy the Riders are a good team and will have a large majority of the crowd support. This one is going to be fun.

Re: ESF or WSF

The West semi final game should be a tight one I think it's going to come down to the running game, If the Lions can get production out of both Harris and Logan and the defence shuts down Sheets the Lions will have a good shot at winning this one. BC and Montreal are similar in the sense that both t...

Re: Who will be the red blacks starting Qb?

I'm starting to think the QB for the RedBlacks will be Kevin Glenn, I don't see Calgary protecting him and it gives Ottawa a starter with experience and he's played pretty darn well over the last two years, if the right pieces are brought in around him Ottawa could be competitive right out the gate.

Re: Sean Whyte

Kicking all around has been rather bad this year besides the kickers in CGY and SSK, but ya Mr Whyte was rather terrible not even getting the ball far enough to make those FG's but I was rather happy about it. Hopefully we can get come new talent in the league next year kicking wise.

Re: Tiger-Cats' March to the Grey Cup Thread

Ticats pulled out the win on the weekend but I am concerned about playing Montreal in the playoffs, will they have to play 3 QB's and go to the wildcat to defend against Montreal's heavy blitzing again? They remind me of when "The Don" was head coach with the AL's blitz all day long. The east-semi w...

Re: best game this week?

There's been alot of mediocre games this year. It's certainly been a year for back up QB's. With only two weeks left I hope we get a few more thrillers. I cant help but wonder why Wally brought Pearce back? I cant see this game as being great. I think we're about to see a preview of the east final....
