Re: Great article reviwing the Argos plight

Wow thanks AD for the link that was a great read, man some major clean up is overdue, Rita is a poison pill IMO Yeah, I thought it was worth posting, a whole lot of truth in there. Major cleanup, I agree. Yeah, maybe - don't bet the farm on it though; has to start with punting those 2 clowns Rita &...

Re: Very quiet in Argonaut land.

Maybe they read my post and then got busy. Not busy enough... Yep - one clown down, and at least 2 more to go. But then you'd still be stuck with the possiblity of clueless clown owners - maybe hiring more clueless morons (like Shivers & Barrett) to run the football side of things ...

Re: Very quiet in Argonaut land.

I was hoping to hear something about anything in Toronto by now. I was really hoping that ownership news was going to happen right after Grey Cup. Could be a long off season of not knowing what the hell is going on. The longer nothing happens the more I feel we're going to SUCK again bigtime next y...

Re: CFL Draft 2010

Do the Argos still hold the # 1 pick or did those clowns Rita & Mohns trade it away already? - they should probably go for an O-Lineman and i'd bet on either Eppelle or Bender (huge guard from Nevada); Williams was impressive for Queens, but won't get an honest shot to play DE in the CFL - they'll p...

Re: Cancon

If there was a Canadian QB "good enough" he would be in the CFL - the GMs and coaches "just want to win" and will go with the "best players" as determined by them; we can see that Canadian QBs aren't "good enough" from all the evidence from CFL TC try-outs and the playing field there and conversely ...

Re: CIS Top Ten

Sorry Jabroni - you're way off. 1 Montreal - beat a long-time #1 handily and only loss was without their starting QB 2 Queens - undefeated, very good D, vet QB 3 StFX - undefeated, tough D 4 Calgary - only loss was via an over-time gamble; Hec winning QB leading them 5 Laval - still THE powerhouse t...

Re: Byron Parker Not Good Enough?

Get real Ravi. :hmm: Clarke or Black haven't played more than a down on defence and they won't be unless for some serious injury situation; Parker was shipped out because he bad-mouthed Bart Simpleton and the "Pop Warner" defence the Argos were using; there's no way Clarke or Black were going to be ...

Re: Byron Parker Not Good Enough?

Rita said he dealt Parker to Edmonton because Maccioca was the first to call him. So he couldn't be bothered to call around and get more than a 4th round CIS Pick for a 2-time allstar??!!! A shutdown CB still in his prime at 28 for a 4th round CIS draft pick!!!! C'mon, get real!! In Bruce's case, h...

Re: tring to find out a player- (bc lion) name played in 1976

I have the team fact book (media guides) from both years. No one wore that jersey number in '76 or '77 as far as I can tell. DH Check Mclellan David, I have him playing one game in 76 from the 08 media guide. See if he is listed anywhere for that season, thanks. Lions 95 media guide has a Don McLel...

Re: Bye-bye Arland Bruce

Like to see the Argos work out a trade to get some good value in return for Bruce - could be one CFL team willing to give up plenty for a vet who has done lots in the league? Bruce may be a pretty talented receiver with big-play potential, but he's also IMO big-time over-rated as an all around recei...

Re: Cahoon's catch

Nice catch for sure (but i found the camera angle a bit awkward to appreciate it fully?) - typical Cahoon though - the guy has the best set of hands in the history of the game IMO (and i'm counting all/any leagues); wouldn't make Ben's all-time top 10 though - has made so many spectacular or amazing...

Re: Bombers Improved?

I'm a new Bomber fan simply because of the offence Kelly is running - QB under C, plenty of balance and variety with lots of ground game; so refreshing IMO from the standard good ole boys party line offence of all-shotgun / all pass - we shall see how they progress. LaFors has some learning on the f...

Re: CIS in the Draft

Jusdanis was over 10 years ago; Marko Glavic only got a perfunctory invite to the CFL Combine and did not get an actual CFL TC try-out. And last I checked, dead guy's are unable to play football, regardless of their birth certificates; OTOH - top notch, award winning or all-star QB talent from the n...

Re: Teale Orban

Why don't the Riders bring him back for another camp? What do they have to lose? The PR affect of drafting a local guy - a heartwarming give the Canadian kid a shot at QB story - has worn off for Tillspin and the Riders' thinkers; they may have next to nothing proven at QB for TC there, but Tillspi...
