Re: CFL.CA - Stein: Remembering GreyCupGarry

I actually first heard about Garry through this story--and I thought I'd posted a link to it in the original thread on Garry.
I went back & looked and it was missing.

Any way--great of the official website to acknowledge one of the league's biggest and best fans.

Re: GreyCupGarry

I never met Gary, I only knew of him through this site, but he was always interesting to read, and sounded like a fun guy to be around.

I just saw this on cfl.ca, and had to check on it here.

Certainly my condolences go out to his family, friends, and all who were touched by his life.

Re: Lions Release Jason Clermont!

Well, I think I'd be quite safe in doubting he's coming to Calgary, with the collection of receivers the Stamps currently have.

Wally most certainly has something up his sleeve.

Re: Calgary writer slams some Stamp players

Wow--one player gets in Calvillo's face, yet others drag him away--and the whole team is classless? What about Sadro, and Nik? DId you read the article. Bunch of selfish, classless individuals. I like Burris actually, and I'm happy for him, but all it takes is a few bad apples to ruin the barrell! ...

Re: CONGRATS TO THE CALGARY STAMPEDERS!

Wonderful vindication. Vindication for what? For being overlooked for awards & all star selections that they deserved. An empty complaint since the Stamps didn't even nominate the right player for their defensive nominee. I'm having trouble following the logic of this. I haven't heard anyone compla...

Re: Looking back

That's why they have the crossover--this happened several times through the 80's & early 90's.

Re: Can't believe Labinjo wasn't named MVC

Labinjo was the Stamps defensive player of the playoffs for sure, and certainly would have been my pick if they still gave out a defensive player of the game award.

His goal line stands against BC, his knocked down passes, his sacks.
Wow--he did impress.

Wonderful vindication. Vindication for what? For being overlooked for awards & all star selections that they deserved. They won on the field, where it really counts. And with the Grey Cup in Calgary next season, the Stamps still have plenty to play for... back to back Champs in their own hometown.....

Re: Your Grey Cup pick?

Excuse me for my excitement. Congrats to the Stamps. Burris vindicated himself, the defense vindicated themselves, the whole team did. Burris did throw an interception, which was a great play by Reggie Hunt. He was the best Alouette out there today. But Calvillo threw 2--one in the endzone. So Burri...

Re: Wow - Stamps win!

I think he'll be back, he may not want to go out that way.

How about a rematch in Calgary next year?

I'd be all for it!

I'm sure some people will still find something to pick on Burris about--but he showed who the top QB in the CFL really is.

And the defense showed who the best was as well.

Re: CONGRATS TO THE CALGARY STAMPEDERS!

Yes!!! Wonderful vindication. Wow, they win it all, when I miss posting here this season. I've been so busy this year, so this site fell by the wayside. But I was able to check it out in the playoffs. And join in the fun. Holding the Als to a punt single in the second half shows how dominant the Sta...

Re: GIBSON'S FINEST CFL PLAYERS AWARDS WINNERS

GIBSON'S FINEST OUTSTANDING DEFENSIVE PLAYER DE - Cam Wake - British Columbia Lions Wake received 44 of 46 first place ballots. Who on earth didn't vote for Cam Wake??? Those two need their ballots pulled and given to two that actually watch the sport. I have the sneaking suspicion that those two v...
