Marshall Berry gone - was it their fault

Wow - no Marshal thread here. How come this site isn't the hub it used to be? Anyway, my take - Marshall was hired into a no win situation. Sk got lucky to make it to the G.C. last year and were schooled by the Al's (most boring G.C. game I've ever seen thanks to Sk's ineptitude), and things haven't...

Re: If the Playoffs Were to Start Today ....

Well, I don't know about you PD. But if they playoffs were to start today, the best defense EVER in the CFL will (easily) win the Grey Cup. Yeah, I i didn't say today, I didn't say this decade, I said EVER. Show me a defense that is better at any time. EVER. Wpg has a ferocious passrush that can pre...

Re: 2011 Predictions

Don't you just love the CFL. Montreal (finally) looks like they're on the downside. Edmonton - where did the come from? The two worst teams in the league - B.C. easily (and everyone thought they'd go to the Grey Cup) and Saskatchewan (now we know why Greg Marshall was always a bridesmaid, never a br...

Re: CFL is minor leagues - lets end this foolishness

This is rubbish. Every major non American based league contains some degree of limitations upon the nationality of the players on the roster. European based leagues in soccer, hockey, and basketball all have import restrictions (as do all of the minor football leagues throughout Europe). IPL cricke...

Re: CFL is minor leagues - lets end this foolishness

Oh, here we go again. Get rid of Canadians because they can't play. Yes they can & they do... The argument is "We want to see the best players"... Well, you do see the best players... in the NFL. Most CFL imports can't crack a playing roster in the NFL. The Canadian players make the CFL what it is,...

CFL is minor leagues - lets end this foolishness

What say my fellow 13th man counterparts? We've discussed this before, how the CFL draft is a friggin joke, etc. I know a lot of you disagree but facts are facts. Fact: NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA are all considered MAJOR LEAGUES, are they not? So, what do they have in common that the MINOR LEAGUE CFL does n...

Re: Montreal-Winnipeg officiating?

It's not so much the call was bad, but the fact that the offiicating was so inconsistent. It's a well known fact in ALL sports though that the 'better' team always gets the benefit of the doubt. There were THREE separate instances in that game where the Montreal defender had his hands all over a pot...

Re: Power Ratings - After Week 2

Not withstanding last nights outcome (as this is prior to that game) I agree 100% with all the rankings. What I really like though is IMO other than Sask and Edmonton (so far) there's arguments for putting any other team in any order (OK, Hamilton should probably be #7 right now too - but they are t...

Re: We are seeing some exciting CFL Football....

We sure are Lou - it's great to see Winnipeg and Toronto playing football again, and not whatever it was they were last year. Even in losing they look great. Calgary IMO is off to a slow start and are lucky to be 2 - 1, Edmonton showed much better against Mtrl. I hope Casey's leg is not a hinderence...

Re: Bombers vs Ti-Cats

Thanx man. I've been distracted lately with my new car, and my current bout with double pneumonia, but I'll be around some, tho probably not as much as usual, too many demands on my time for long drawn out pi$$ing matches. Well - congrats on the new car - i hope you've been spending more time with ...

Toronto/WPg post game thread

Wow - what a difference a year makes!!! First off, congrats to the Argo's and their fans - as I thought (though not this quick) your suffering is over. A real coach, a real QB (and you watch - Lemon will only get better and better). Very well played and you kept coming back and did it on all three f...

Re: Bombers vs Ti-Cats

Just because we kicked their butt doesn't mean they're a struggling team. No, their on-field performance confirmed it. Show me 1 Cat fan who thought that was the best the Cats will ever be this year. They looked like they thought they were still in the Preseason. Where they lost to the Argos. Befor...

Re: Bombers vs Ti-Cats

Now for the coup de gras - looking forward to seeing Lenny Walls in Green and Gold tomorrow night, and watching Casey Printers throwing 5 interceptions as the Eskies lay the biggest beating of the week on the hapless Lions. Just a bit off with that prediction. LMAO - you got that right. If I switch...

Re: Now THAT was a rematch!!

Only issue I have with this game is how do you top it? That catch for the two point convert is probably the best catch I've ever seen, I doubt we'd see another one like it again. I was on the edge of my seat from midway through the 4th quarter on. Glad the game was sold out - Sk fans deserve a game ...

Re: Bombers vs Ti-Cats

Yeah - great game for the bombers, who now find themselves all alone in first place as all the other three have losses. And next week (Saturday) they should be two and zero once they paste the Argos. Though I hope they don't into that game thinking all they need to do is show up win. That ain't no C...
