Re: Braley Bowl II ,

Jyles looked pretty good once he started to shake off the rust. The offence should improve in the second half of the season. I don't know if Barker and staff can motivate the team, though. They were flat as a pancake in a must-win game. Even Prefontaine's fake punt was predictable and well-defended.

Re: Rookie of the Year 2011?

Tim Brown, KR/RB in B.C. He was CFL special teams player of Week 1 with a 97-yard punt return against Montreal and he had a 39-yard kickoff return and 37-yard punt return in Week 2 against Calgary. Shawn Gore is not eligible because he dressed for several games last year, even though he didn't catch...

Re: Does the CFL need/want USA exposure?

Four reasons to expose the CFL in the U.S.: 1. Make players, agents and college coaches aware of the product to help attract talent north of the border. 2. Make the product accessible to family, friends and fans of American players in the CFL. 3. Make the product available to the millions of Canadia...

Re: Field Size - historically speaking

When B.C. Place was built in 1983, the league gave permission for the end zones to be 20 yards deep instead of the standard 25. Soon afterwards, the league shortened all end zones to 20 yards.

Re: Argos @ Bombers

In training camp this year, Wally Buono compared Amey to Terry Vaughn -- not the fastest guy but nifty, with good hands and good at picking up yards after the catch. Amey didn't do anything in preseason to live up to that comparison but he certainly demonstrated good hands against the Argos. I wish ...

Re: B.C. vs. Argos

Look at the screaming that went on when Esk fans got a sked like we used to get with all weeknight games for half the season, they hated it. Als and Argo fans are used to it. Like you claim we also have "other things to do" and later games like 4 pm local would be an ideal balance between having fr...

Re: B.C. vs. Argos

No BC fan will admit it gives them an advantage, but the simple fact they deliberately schedule games vs east teams as late as possible is all the evidence anyone needs who isn't from BC. There is no reason at all they couldn't do Saturday/Sunday afternoon games @ 4 pm BC time/1 PM east time, perfe...
