Re: Finally NFL talk dead in Toronto !!!

You need $2 billion to get an NFL team in Toronto. The first billion is to buy the team, the second billion is to build yourself a stadium, because the SkyCasket isn't NFL caliber. Beyond that, you're going to have the same problems an LA team would have. The city is too spread out geographically to...

Re: Tebow in CFL(?), Canadian QB Quinlan, and CFL 2013 Draft

The closest Tebow arm talent that comes to my mind is Marcus Crandell, and I don't think Tebow has the running ability that Crandell did. He's not a particularly impressive QB. But if he were serious, he'd ask for his rights to be shipped to Winnipeg. Though I'm sure he can make enough money on the ...

Tigger,

Did they save any pieces of the stadium for auction to the general public? Portions of benches? Seats? Urinals etc.?

Re: Eskimos acquire QB Reilly from Lions

This kid looked better than Bo-Levi Mitchell last year in pre-season in Calgary yet they release him. Just makes no sense to me the way GM's look at our Canadian kids who are QBs. How the hell are they supposed to get a chance when they're never given one in the first place ? :? :? :? :flag:  ...

I won't disagree with this, but man, relative to the SMS you're paying an awful lot for that level of production.

Wait. You mean that soccer isn't actually going to overwhelm the sports marketplace in Toronto and render the Argos an afterthought that would have to slink out to London or Moncton or fold up the tent completely after all? Shocking.

I doubt they'll double the salary cap, but the television numbers should improve considerably with the next deal.

Health is, of course, the great undoing of all predictions. Fortunately, Winnipeg took a big hit early. I like the TSN panel's consensus of BC over Hamilton in the Grey Cup. West 1. BC (13-5) 2. Calgyra (10-8) 3. Riders (8-10) 4. Edmonton (5-13) East 1. Hamilton (12-6) 2. Montreal (10-8) 3. Toronto ...

The 2011 is below the orange paw in the shot on the right.

That panel also features six grey cups, one for each cup in franchise history.

Hamilton was outstanding. Montreal and BC were really just tweaks on what exists, not really an improvement. BC has had the same number font since 1989. Montreal was actually made a bit worse, in my opinion. The number changes make them more difficult to read, and the Montreal and Alouettes were mad...
