Re: 77th Grey Cup: Greatest Football Game Ever

That last ticat-argo game was almost a carbon copy of that game. what will sunday reserve for us? overtime? too many men? horse running mad on the field tackling a player on a game winning run? justin bieber barfing on the field turf causing the ball to slip on a game winning FG? naw, it'll be some...

Re:

If the Argos can consistently put a winner on the field over the next decade like Montreal, BC & Calgary, the fans will come back. There hasn't been much to cheer about as an Argo fan recently. The key is consistency, but you can't be good forever. You would like to have all the fans there through ...

This is getting tiresome. I am not an Argos season holder, but I do go to several Argo, Ticat, OUA and - yes - even TFC games every season.

Here's a link. TFC is listed number 8 in average attendance.

Re: Re:

Well after some Googling, I found that the TFC's average attendance so far for 2012 is 19K and change, down around a thousand from last season. The Argo average attendance after just two games for 2012 is 21500, up from last season. Now that might change after Monday, but I do hope they can get at ...

Re: Watch out Argos, TFC becoming tast of the town.

the Argos haven't had a crowed under 20k this season. True. TFC haven't had a crowd over 20k this season False. I don't care if you have a hate on for all things not CFL. I do care about people passing off their opinions as facts though. Out of curiosity, are you an Argos season ticket holder? I'm ...

Re: Watch out Argos, TFC becoming tast of the town.

Dont fall for it T-bone.I have to admit the tfc games attendence is way higher than the argos even with a new coach and qb! And it feels a lot better sitting next to people than empty seats .The skydome sucks and BMO rocks , what else can be said?? And everyone knows KFC stands for Kansa football c...

Re:

That's what MLSE will say, but in the early years you could not find an empty seat, nor see one on TV when TFC was playing. Today, the seats may be sold to MLSE's corporate friends but the asses are sure not occupying all the seats as you could see plenty of red seats while watching on TV, so it's ...

I went to an TSC game early this season and believe me, it was far from sold out. Here's a photo.

Re: Re:

Yeah, catering to 13 year olds with their allowances is the answer. That is precisely how I became a CFL fan. YMMV. I have heard it stated in Hamilton from a few circles that the Tiger Cats may have lost a generation of fans when Harold Ballard owned the team. One of the first things he did was to ...

They have done it before, why not again. If it helps promote the game to the future ticket buyers then it's a good move. If I were a season ticket holder, I wouldn't be to bent out of shape about it. It's about building your future fan base.

Re: What is your first CFL memory?

I never really became a football fan until 1969 when I suddenly decided to become a fan. I choose Ottawa as a favourite team because they won the Grey Cup the year before. Before that - as I seem to recall - I hated sports. I one thing I do remember from that season, besides the 69 Grey Cup, was att...

Re: Labour Day 2012

VENT ON: As a Ticat fan, 2012 LD Classic game between the TICATS vs ARGOS is a MUST , Ivor Wynne Stadium has seen its END, I don't want to see the Als vs Ticats! There is just too much history, rivallery between these too 2 teams not to have it there. AT THAT NOTE: Labour Day Classic games should b...

Unfortunatly this will be the first one I will miss since 1996. Sucks it has to be on a Friday night. I wouldn't have time to drive to M...
