For security I run AVG7, Microsft AntiSpyware(Beta) and Webroot Spysweeper3. For security I run Linux. Because the vast majority of good games and other apps come out for PC Windows first , and for hardware compatibility I stick with XP. Linux is interesting, but which version do you pick? I...

I run the free version of AVG and am very happy with it. I find that since they bumped the free version up to 7 (from 6), it's easier to use and automates more tasks. I used to run McAffee, but the annual fee was crazy. They point you to their website, "for convenience", not pointing out that the o...

I've been using and installing AV software for a living for a few years now, and I have to agree with ArgoDave; Norton got fat and sassy, and outived its usefulness. Their update server was even infected by a trojan or two some months back. I ran 2002 until the server infected a brand new XP instal...

One question...since I loaded it, the computer gets hung up on the "authorization" stage when I'm checking my email. Is there some setting I have to change? The only other thing I can think of is maybe the Shaw email server has been down for aprx 4 hours (unlikely). That seems odd. For the heck of ...

AVG is my choice and the A/V solution that I recommend to clients.
AFAIK, AVG is consistantly rated #1 in threats detected and is always in the top three for using the minimum amount of system resources.

I haven't tried AntiVir but I'll give it a l :i: :i: k.

Now I feel even older! First time for me was '77. :x But as an aside, in last 10 minutes I finally figured out what an avatar was and realized those emoticons aren't so juvenile after all. For me, that's either progress or regression. Welcome Tull55! :beauty: [ 55 could also relate to the CFL 55 ya...

Everyone thinks that my name stands for Blue Bomber Bob. Actually, it started a long time ago when my 1st cousin named his son the same given name (and of course surname) as I have (different middle initials). To identify the 2 Bob's, he (much younger) became known as "Little Bob" and I became known...
