Re: has the cfl killed the argos with the new schedule?

You sre correct in what you say. The tfc is no longer the toast of the town and the ticket is no longer a hot one. I went 1 year too long on my seasons and will never renew with the terrible product on the field. I still beleive most people in Toronto would rather see the TFC but a fraction compare...

LOL that is the funniest thing I've read in a while anywhere...and so true too, especially Leafs fans. :rotf:

Re: Touchdown Atlantic 2

So what are the preferred hotels in close proximity to the "goings on"?.. All the action will be on Main Street. Last year we stayed at Chateau Monction. This year a bit closer at the Rodd Park House Inn which is closer. One of the teams will be at the Delta Beausejour. I stayed at the Ma...

Re: has the cfl killed the argos with the new schedule?

seems to me that if rogers wanted to kill the argos\CFL, they could have just bought the argos and folded them. But why do that when they can make *some* money off them while killing them by driving fans away with a horrid schedule? That way the fans get the blame for not supporting the team, as an...

Re: has the cfl killed the argos with the new schedule?

Dave, every team has a beefn about the schedule but I think Argo fans have legitimate beefs with the 2011 schedule. Not having the LD Classic game this year is wrong on so many levels. Thu Aug 4th +18th games, nothing at the RC those weekends . So there was NO need to have Thursday games in August....

Re: has the cfl killed the argos with the new schedule?

This guy a couple of years back did an analyst of argo attentence over the last few years and stated the attendence goes down 4000 omn a Thursday night. He said after his research Thursday is the worst day of the week for a game. I wish I had kept that data somewhere cuz I lost it all when a hard d...

Re: has the cfl killed the argos with the new schedule?

I've seen some pretty bad Argo skeds and this one ranks right up there with that year we had a Monday night game. I've had enough of this Thursday night crap, if they listen to the city whiners over people from the Rest Of Ontario then screw them. Next year it's Flex packs of weekend games only and ...

Re: 2011 CFL Schedule

1st 3 games on the road then 1 home game in July and 2 Thursday games in August make for a really poor sked for Argos fans. If that what they do with the Poll information collected next year I'm switching to a Flex pack, no more seasons tix if I can only attend 1 game in the summer. Thursday night g...

Re: What Has Happened To This Place?

I was just getting you back for ruining the Monton excusion. Just to let every one know I didn't ruin anything, at the time I Posted there was nothing organized to ruin. The other group had hours and hours of delays, hotel hassles , and tons of broken promises. My trip was cheaper and ran perfect.....

Re: What Has Happened To This Place?

Hey Dave, D has to share in the blame here as well as he put way TOO MUCH TRUST in his mod team & basically let them get away with anything they wanted to do. Even at the expense of some mods not only bullying members but other mods as well as has been pointed out on this thread. Derek could ha...

Re: What Has Happened To This Place?

As memory serves, most of the Mods and Admins were at Grey Cup in Vancouver for an entire week, and at that time certain fans of various teams other than the Eskimos more or less went to town on Eskimos' fans regarding the Jason Maas/Troy Davis "rental" trade, because there was little or ...

Re: What Has Happened To This Place?

Also Argodave didnt help arguing with everyone. I didn't argue with everyone, only those who argued with me. And I was far from the worst in that regard. People who can't handle negative comments about their team shouldn't be on a multi team board. There was a board, about 12 years ago called somet...
