Re: Someone Please tell me what happened????

Chris Zelkovich has a good rundown: http://www.thestar.com/sports/football/cfl/greycup/article/732819--grey-cup-mystery-how-did-it-happen I too don't believe Armstead was the goat, but there's really no need for a returner with five seconds left. Even if the kick is missed, my understanding is the ...

Re: End of 2nd Half - Mistake Not To Go for TD?

I still think Miller made the right call. From the two yard line out, I give the play a one in three chance of succeeding for the four extra points, no matter how good a Fullback Szarka is. Taking the FG put his team up by two TD's at half-time. Sure, in hindsight, those four extra points would hav...

Re: Someone Please tell me what happened????

Riders were setting up for blocking the FG which means 12 men on the line of scrimmage, no one in the endzone. Armstead (returner) didn't realize this was the call and was in the end zone. Combination of coaching error and player error to ensure that everyone was on the same page. Was too bad Rider...

Re: Finals prediction thread

The way BC fought it out over Hamilton I would say their charged up enough to take it to the Al's and make it a close game. If they have a lead by as little as three points by halftime I say BC to upset the Al's by three to ten points. I also wouldn't be shocked to see Calgary beat the Riders. Stam...

Re: Where the Heck is everyone these days ?

My opinion, I think it’s just a combination of the following : 3- Controversy = traffic….it does for a while then people grow tire of the crap & move elsewhere. Just like your personal reputation, once it’s been tarnished, it’s very hard to build it back…some people came & gone because of stuff sai...

Re: Where the Heck is everyone these days ?

The site has evolved over time, some flare ups certainly hurt some feelings, and yet other controversial types were banned. As has always been the case, you need controversy to increase ratings and a ton of that controversy isn't around for one reason or another anymore. Everyone has their counterpa...

He did better than I thought he would. We could have used him...or probably mis-used him.... That seems to be the Toronto mantra this season. Honestly had I been the decision maker, CP would have been on my team from the beginning of the season in one way shape or form. Having him awaiting a ...

Re: Bombers vs Als Gamethread 24 Oct 09

Congrats on the Bombers they won big, but like everyone is saying, the value of the win gives the BB soem mo, but Als did not play with the A team and the A playbook. It does not mean the BB cannot pull it off again, but i suspect it may be quite a bit more difficult then. AS much as the rest would...

Re: Casey Printers

Casey Printers struggled in Hamilton because he had an average supporting cast. He mistakenly thought that he had the ability to raise the level of play of their offense, when it was obvious that the only receiver on that roster with 1000 yard potential was Rodriguez. Casey was never a leader in Va...
