Re: Gerry Dattilio...a Canadian QB

Great question. Gerry Dattilio WAS a great QB. Probably the last great Canadian QB (with respect to Giulio Caravatta :)). Not sure why we don't hear more about him. DH  With all due respect, David, I don't know that I would call Dattilio "great" but he was a decent QB who did have o...

Re: Replay Needs To Change… Again

To me, it was inconclusive & therefore the call should never had been overturned. I too thought that it was inconclusive, Al, but somebody posted a screenshot on esksfans.com that showed that Cates' elbow was indeed down just before the ball came out. BTW, I had no problem with them taking a bi...

Re: Rod Black and Duane Ford

I just don't get how TSN can ignore all the criticism of Rod Black & Glen Suitor... (They have for years). And not find somebody else to do those 2 jobs. Suitor is highly thought of by the Canadian media and has been nominated for a bunch of Gemini awards IIRC. Keeping Black around is an intere...

I don't think I'd go as far as Cuthbert in calling them a dynasty, but back-to-back Cups is impressive indeed.

They have appeared in 8 Grey Cups in 11 years and won 3 of them. That is getting close to a dynasty at least.

Re: Once and for all who was the 13th man?

Laying blame for the whole thing is hard to do. Who takes responsibility ? The coaches, the players ? :hmm: But ultimately, it was Jason Armtead's responsibility to make the final count on the field. :? Even if Armstead counted 13 men, there was nothing that he could have done about it as Ken Mille...

Lets's hope for renewd interest. We're heading into the football dark zone....otherwise called the offseason so we need lots of football yacking to keep us going:) :pass: I see where Climie has his law practice but is he not trying to be an agent or have I got that wrong? Climie is into employment ...

Re: Once and for all who was the 13th man?

Armstaed, Sean Lucas,Morgan. Lets put it to a vote!!! If it wasnt JA, why when he was traded or sent away did he never say who it was? And why was he in the back-field when 1 point meant nothing to the outcome of the game????? Armstead was back in the endzone so that Duval wouldn't be able to recov...

Re: Verdict in on the 3rdDown - Ritch Dowrey Case

Bet Woodward gets off with less than 2 years. It's the Canadian justice system, don't you know. :? true but he is convicted of a hate crime which should carry a stiffer penalty. The bottom line is there will be no justice in this case. Ritch's life will never be the same and that won't likely chang...

Oh, that's where Joe Smith is now.

Yep, the game was in Buffalo this weekend before a much less than capacity crowd. By the time that the Bills play in Toronto on Nov. 7th, they may very well be 0-7.

Re: Edmonton Eskimos?? Your thoughts...

Like it or don't, looks like Eric Tillman is the new boss in Edmonton. So what should his first move be...more player movement, or more coaching movement. There isn't much that he can do to fix things this season. There isn't much choice but to let Hall and the coaching staff finish out the season....

Re: BC - Calgary Gameday Thread

After last night's abysmal offensive prformance by the Lions (except the last 15 points in garbage time) how can Wally say coaching is not an issue? Then his comments about his team looking like idiots if they don't look at signing RGM. When Wally coached in Calgary, he never said things like this....

Re: We are seeing some great football this season....

Fans in Hamilton are wondering what's going on too. Reminds me of that Joe Schmoe episode on Spike TV. Whaaat's going onnnn?? Only for Hamilton the answer may not be good. There's all this uncertainty surrounding the team if you haven't heard. Oh well, no strangers to that, I guess. I believe, trus...

Re: Argonaut Uniforms

Guess we'll have to wait another week for the Argo throwbacks. The Eskies' throwbacks somehow look just right for them. They should go to something similar for their regular uniforms. I think that most, if not all, teams in this league would be wise to go back to their 1970s uniforms permanently. I...
