2009 Extreme cards

Post by 56Parkies » Mon Dec 14, 2009 8:53 pm

The 2009 Extreme set will be coming out soon, and a special, separate signature set will also be out. The Auto'd set has 8 players, with two cards each -- one autographed and another different card with their photos on the front and "10 things you should know" on the back which are questions they answered about themselves.

Since this only comes out in a set, I was wondering if anyone wants to split this into "team sets"?

I've found someone for the BC Lion cards (Geroy Simon) and the Calgary cards (Jermaine Copeland), so I thought I'd see if anyone wants the others, listed below:

Montreal: Avon Cobourne
Toronto: Kerry Joseph <- SOLD
Saskatchewan: Weston Dressler <- LERRIUQS
Hamilton: DeAndra' Cobb <- TIGGER
Winnipeg: Siddeeq Shabazz

Each set will be $25

Let me know!

I thought for sure we'd at least have some Roughrider fans on here that would be interested..?

Here's a listing for the cards on eBay. The guy selling is the EXCLUSIVE distributor for these cards, so if we don't buy from him, we don't get 'em, and he is willing to sell just the cards to us for $200 shipped -- $25 each set of 2 cards. The price goes up to $300 in a few weeks tho!

If you know someone who is a fan of the remaining four teams, let 'em know about this before it's too late!

Just got my complete signature set the other day. Nice looking set which comes in it's own separate display book. to Extreme for this great idea.

I agree it's a nice looking set, and the album it all comes with is quite nice.

That being said, I know more "team collectors" than "set collectors", so at this price point, I don't know that they'll do as well than if they had sold them as individual items, etc. Then again, I still haven't found anyone to pick up the Avon Cobourne or Sideeq Shabazz cards off me. Onto the 'Bay they will have to go!

Either way, I'm glad I was able to get these added to my collection!

'Fraid so; I bought the set with as many different fans as I could find, and Calgary was pretty early to go.

The ONLY way you can get these cards is either to buy a set yourself, or else find someone who DID buy a set that both has the Copeland and is willing to get rid of it.

Calgary, Saskatchewan, Edmonton, Hamilton collectors are pretty easy to find. I have yet to find any Winnipeg or Montreal card collectors. Maybe they're just not out there?

If you decide to pick up a set, and need help finding collectors for other teams that you could split a set with, drop me a PM

They'd be great if it wasn't for those big "fronts" and "backs" written on the cards
Seriously though, some very fine items...
