Bowl Day

Post by Rids » Sat Nov 21, 2009 11:07 am

Won't do a GDT since the two games are being played at the same time but being shown on TSN back to back. Two great match ups on tap today!!

Queen's vs. Laval - Mitchell Bowl
Two of the best offenses and best defenses go head to head.

Calgary vs. Saint Mary's - Uteck Bowl
The Return! Calgary comes to town with a handful of ex-Huskies that are powering this squad to back to back Bowl games.

Personally, I call it Cup Day as I refuse to use that foreign term "Bowl". Half time right now the of Queens - Laval game. Great game going on. GO QUEENS. Anybody but Laval.

Good game so far (Gaels and Rouge et Or).

Have to admit I'm going for Queens. My father went there. He's not a big sports guy, so I'll lend my support for him.

Cheer for Dinos in the next game. Put two Cowtown teams in the big game next weekend.

Laval can be a scary team. I honestly thought they were going to come back and win it. Twenty points down and they had all the momentum. Now we will see how truly interested Quebec City is about CIS football. I think they will do all right.

It would be nice if they would, but unfortunately here in the OUA we get to may of these 70-0 and 58-3 barn burners thanks mainly to these football powerhouses like York, UofT and Waterloo. If these schools would just show a slight bit of interest in their football programs then maybe some more networks might find it worth broadcasting.

We've used this "foreign" term since the Atlantic Bowl was handed out in 1959.
