My thoughts and prayers go out to Gary's family and freinds.

I never did meet Gary but I heard from other 13thmen how much of a fun and great guy he was. Although never meeting, him and I shared a few conversations, laughs, lots of jokes of course, and some good-natured fan bashing here on 13thman.

You will be missed BIG-TIME, GCG ! ! !

While staying with Garry in Aug and September we discovered that in 1981 we both attended a concert in 1981 outside of Calgary called Alberta Jam featuring ZZ Top and Atlanta Rhythm Section here is a pic I took of that concert. Something really cool I remember from that show .... if you showed up with bottles of pop or booze they gave you plastic milk jugs to pour it into so you could take it in .... they didn't mind the booze coming in they just didn't want broken glass everywhere

I have not been on this site for awhile. Although belated, my sincere condolences. Although I did not have the privilege of meeting Gary in person, I always remember him replying to posts as if you were a long-time friend, even though you'd never met him. He will be missed.

This is a real shock, I didnt know him very well like the rest of you guys, but he was always nice to me, the CFL has lost one of its best fans.

Awesome video, tigger! :beauty:

Garry's family kindly sent me the slide shows they did for the funeral.

With their permission I've posted them on youtube. Unfortunately youtube wouldn't allow me to upload the Led Zeppelin song "Rock n Roll" which fit perfectly with the second slide presentation. Rather than have no music I had to choose a replacement, copyright free tune. Here are links to those two videos:

As also mentioned on argofans.com, I was greatly honoured to have been in some of these photos and to have taken quite a few of them.

Thank you tig and tuck. Those are lovely tributes and I only wish I had gotten the chance to say goodbye to Garry. Thanks so much for sharing those.

OMG... I've been only rarely checking the boards. This is a sudden shock to me. Garry was truly a great fan of the game. The 13thman and the CFL in general has certainly lost a great man.

In your honour I will continue to keep random Doug Flutie speculation alive as long as I can (one of our inside jokes)

May you rest in piece
