Outlook Express email retrieval help

Post by Brian Shepherd » Tue Oct 23, 2007 8:38 am

I sent an email to a friend a week ago, then I emptied my sent mail folder then I emptied my deleted folder. By any chance is there any way to retrieve this sent message?

Thanks

Sorry Brian, it doesn't sound good for retrieving that email.

I don't suppose your friend still has it in his in box?

Otherwise call your internet supplier tech support and ask if they can retrieve it from your email account. A long shot probably but it doesn't hurt to ask.

That's about the only hope...

Unless it's an Exchange server, it wouldn't hold outgoing mail. SMTP just bumps it on and once it's gone, it's not kept. It MIGHT still be on the recipient's ISP's mail server, but that's a longshot as well.
