Whatever it takes to put butts in the seats at Rogers Centre. I don't see why there would be an issue having a 12pm kickoff to a pre-season game. Its great for the kids. The Jays often have noon start times in the same venue and they can still attract decent size crowds. Who's really going to lose sleep over a pre-season game, really?

36,214 people. A resounding success. And an argo win to boot.

Over the years, I could question a lot of things the argos have done to market the team. They are hosting the 100th grey cup this year. It's a big year and they look to have a decent team. Attracting over 35,000 fans to a game was absolutely genious on their part. If I was a season ticket holder I wouldn't have had any problem with the 12:00 start. I would recognize the value in exposing youth to the team. I have no doubt that this will pay dividends throughout the season...great job Toronto

That is precisely how I became a CFL fan.

YMMV.

I have heard it stated in Hamilton from a few circles that the Tiger Cats may have lost a generation of fans when Harold Ballard owned the team. One of the first things he did was to get ride of the bleacher seats in the west end because he did not want a bunch of kids getting in for next to nothing. Forward thinking right into a brick wall.
The CFL is alive and well
We don't need the NFL
