Anyone else still have Grey Cup Montreal hangover

Post by 1argoholic » Fri Nov 28, 2008 1:35 pm

What a GREAT time but after staying a few extra nights with friends my wife and I both came home with wicked colds and sore throats. Was doing ok hitting the hotel room at 5:30 am, 4 am, 3:30 am then 3 am. The long flight back with a bunch of hacking folks around didn't help.
Doesn't get much further away than traveling from Duncan BC to Montreal. To top it off some moron got killed crossing the Trans Canada just north of Victoria delaying our trip home by 4 hours. 46 year old fool who should have known better.

Great time in Montreal and I can't wait to get back there.

Took me all week to get over the "2 or so hours of sleep per night" that went on from Thursday to Sunday night. Just can't sleep on Hotel beds with a back injury...no matter how much I drank. :? The trip home was a blur of fatigue.

Can't wait to do it again next year...

I got quite sick following the Grey Cup last year. This year, I seem to have picked a cold only.

They guy across the row on the train back from Montreal coughed so much I thought he'd toss up a lung. Amazed I didn't catch what he had, I heard him describing how bad he felt to someone on his phone.

The whole week has been a hangover, haha. Doesn't help we were masking our hangovers by drinking as soon as we woke up...

I had a wicked sore throat for about 4 days. Slept well, though from Monday through the end of the week. Probably due to exhaustion.

Trying to keep that GC spirit alive by saying hello to more people than normal, but too many people bury their noses in their newspapers etc.

I still feel like crap. Last night I got the worse nose bleed from all the sneezing and nose blowing. Bloody deal just wouldn't stop. Nice to feel this crap and still have landscaping to due in wet west coast weather.
