Well another e-mail from Jan Harders office and she's a yes. That was five yes e-mails. The only five replies I received. Hopefully that's a good sign.

We want GREAT news today. It can't come soon enough for me and I live on Vancouver Island. I hope to move back to Ontario and The Kawarthas one day. Then we'd be able to hit games in TO and Ottawa.

I guess that they must still be debating this as there is no official word as of yet. I wonder if Clive Doucet is doing everything in his power to hold this thing up.

This is nuts. I keep looking to see if there's news. I want Winnipeg back in the west.

It was a hell of a battle, but we live to fight another day.

Actually, this was a MASSIVE win - it's actually going to be pretty tough for council to back out now, although technically they still could in June of 2010.

Our nemesis, Councillor Clive Doucet, actually cried giving his final speech (knowing full well he was heading to defeat). I want to drink those tears. :D :D :D :D

I wonder if Winnipeg will move back to the West. They might just hang around the East until another eastern team is added because: a) the East is traditionally weaker than the West (though having 5 teams in the East would then make it mathematically easier to reach the playoffs for West teams), b) they've been in the East for a while now and have developed some rivalry there, and c) in case Ottawa were to fold again (though I highly doubt this would happen with the proposed ownership group) they wouldn't have to switch back yet again.

The Bombers will either move or not move depending on finances. I would suggest that there is more money to be made by playing in the west and I am sure that they will try to finagle a few hundred thousand out of their partners as they were able to do in '06.
