The Argos last year averaged 23,689 multiplied by 9 games for a total attendance of 213,201. Don't forget to add in the opportunities for revenue per game from such as parking, concessions, suites, advertising, broadcast rights and whatever else. Most of that additional revenue is of course denied to the Argos.

As for this game today it was scheduled for today because the Blue Jays are booked everyday from Fri the 19th to Sun the 28th and there was a Jay Z and Justin Timberlake concert on Wed the 17th. BTW it drew only about 30,000, but still more than the Argos. It will happen again when the Argos play on Tuesday Sept 3rd missing the Labor Day weekend, again because the Blue Jays fill the stadium for the week prior.

The world is run by dollars and cents, the Blue Jays have the dollars, the Argos the cents and it will be always so unless of course the CFL goes to a 164 game schedule.

The answer has to be that the Argos get bought by some rich dude or dudess who then builds a retail, commercial and entertainment facility in the geographic center of Metro featuring a 35,000 seat stadium (with training and admin facilities for the Argos of course) that the Argos also get a multiple revenue stream from. Something like what seems to be the case in Ottawa.

Good work. The blue highlight is my favorite. It would be good if it was actually in the works and happening. I'd rather see the Argos fold before having to share a soccer only stadium.

No Rogers for me as well, Argos vs Eskimos at the dome on Sunday will they get a spike in attendance because of the weekend game and also coming off a impressive spanking of the Alouettes? 25,000? 30, 000? I hope they do but who the hell knows, I mean there could be an all important NFL pre season game going on at the same time.

If there are any Ticat fans who can't get into Guelph games, I would think going to a few Argo games would make them happy. I don't think a Ticat fan would suddenly turn into an Argo fan suddenly. They could always cheer for the other team. That would increase ticket sales.

I just looked. Argos are playing on a SUNDAY NIGHT...A FREAKIN"' Sunday NIGHT.
WTF is that!!!! It's OK if it's a Blow Jay game...you can cop a few zz's here and there throughout the game, but you can't do that during football games. People have to work the next day. Why couldn't it be a Sunday aft. game. What a GOOFED up management/managements.

Even though they are Grey Cup Champions they get no respect.

No respect at all, I don't understand it either the Jays were away all weekend in Tampa unless something else was going on at the dome this weekend?

Tues July 30...attendance...20,064
Any guesses for the game against the Als with 2 rookie QB's?
I'll say less than 20,000.

Will the final tally also include all the free tickets Rudge will try and give away?

Just for once I'm not going to be cynical and say the Argos will get close to 25,000. It's all those people returning from cottage country.

I admire your optimism for tonight's attendance but what a terrible night to have a football game, the first day back to school and work for some, I do believe if the Argos were to have a smaller venue of 25 000 they would pack it every game and could turn around the franchise financially but until then they will struggle, I fully expect rows upon rows of empty seats at the dome tonight. I hope i'm wrong

About 18,900 pretty poor especially compared to Sask's 45,000 the other day. It's a mystery, no Leafs no Raptors, annual baseball embarrassment known as the Blue Jays and still the Argos, even with Grey Cup credentials can't draw.
Must be the media's fault.
