Riders showing no signs of slowing down

Pedersen: Riders showing no signs of slowing down

The Saskatchewan Roughriders are the best in the CFL after last Saturday’s 32-20 victory over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in Guelph, ON and not surprisingly, you’re starting to hear the comments all across Saskatchewan.
“Is this the best Roughrider team of all time?” or “Has a CFL team ever gone undefeated

I can’t answer the first one, although it’s a great question. As for the second inquiry, the 1948 Calgary Stampeders went 12-0 in their 12-game schedule and finished the season off with a12-7 victory over the Ottawa Rough Riders in the 36th Grey Cup in Toronto.
But really, although the Riders have won five-straight to start the season, it has to be a little early to discuss a perfect season isn’t it?
Of course it is, but it sure is fun!
So too is watching the Green & White, as they’ve been beating teams handily in the early stages of this 2013 season. In the just-completed home-and-home series with the Ticats, the Roughriders outscored them 69-20.
As one player put it to me on the flight home, “We’re kicking the crap out of everybody”.

They are and they’re also showing no signs of slowing down.

How the hell did they get Geroy Simon ?
SSK Receiving Name No Yards Lg TD
They need someone who can count.LOL
Geroy should still be wearing orange.
SIMON, G 5 125 45 1
DRESSLER, W 3 59 24 1
GETZLAF, C 2 35 18 1
Riders vs Hamilton.
Anything to say Wally?

Simon has 2 moves the push off move that really is offensive pass interference and the let the guy run into me move when I slow down because the ball is overthrown and then complain about pass interference.

Riders can be beat! they will have a great test in their upcoming game against the Stamps, i'm not saying they are going to beat them but I think that Calgary will be highly motivated to end the winning streak and should be a hell of a game.

This is such a tough one to come to terms with. On one hand, someone needs to take them down and Calgary can do it. On the other hand, I'm a Lions fan and the last team I need gaining that kind of confidence from that big of a win is Calgary. We already have enough trouble with the Stamps as it is. Not to mention the fact that we have to play them the week after....

Week 2
Riders 36 The Stumps 21
Zero points for Calgary in the second half.
Cornish ran for a whopping 42 yds.LOL
I think the Riders are motivated to stay undefeated.
I'm a Lions fan as well, but they're not doing themselves any favours right now.

I stand corrected.
But this week, they let Cornish run. 175 yds rushing for him. I don't know why they took him out of the game last week.
Their defence didn't stop Sheets with over a hundred yds. It's nice to see more run back in the CFL.

It is a bit ridiculous to blame the refs, Calgary played a great game, Nik Lewis and Cornish were unstoppable. Nik Lewis doesn't get enough credit, all he does is make plays, I think he will go down as one of the great receivers to play in the CFL when it's all said and done.

I think I would like to someday attend the Rod Pederson school of broadcasting.

LOL Rod is a huge homer which I don't really have a problem with but he does make big deals out of things that simply aren't and tries to rile up Rider fans, for example all last week he was talking about the Stamps handing out noise makers to the first 5000 fans wearing red and how it was discriminatory towards rider fans........ridiculous.

Riders didn't look very good against Montreal this weekend, every team can have an off game but maybe the Riders aren't as good as we thought they were?

Ticat fans are sooo sensitive. LOL
Sorry your prediction didn't ring true.
I don't think it was a good idea having your QB running the ball so much at the end of the game. Reilly's getting better. The Evil Empire seem to be getting better as well. Let the running back take the hits. Sheesh!
