You missed Burris.
I cant see them going with Tate. He's too injury prone?
But shouldn't the coach be there to help pick? Who will be the coach?

I think it will be someone out of Calgary or possibly Drew Willy out of Saskatchewan.

I will say Drew Willy, but it kind of depends who Calgary protects I dont think they would want Glenn but if they protect BLM Drew Tate will get picked and be back up but if the protect Tate then BLM will be the starter

Someone that no one is really talking about is the backup in Hamilton, Dan LeFevour and I hope the RedBlacks don't have him on their radar because I believe he could be the QB of the future for the Ticats. In the limited time iv'e seen him play he has handled himself really well, I think he has a lot of potential.

Buck Pierce....just kidding ! :0

If they were smart, they'd pick a proven veteran like Kevin Glenn but my hunches say that Calgary might protect him. In that case they should try and get Bo Levi Mitchell and then go after Zack Collaros in Toronto. Drew Willy, Dan LeFavour, and Matt Nichols will all get a look as well. :good:

It's possible the Stamps will pass on the injury prone Tate and protect Mitchell. I suppose it's also possible the Argos will decide Ray is to injury prone but not likely.
If available I would go for Kevin Glenn for the experience giving Ottawa a chance to win a respectable number of games in their first season while bringing on their future guy, at this point possibly Collaros.

Papano or Reinbolt or chris jones i beleive would be on the short list!
We should also add Buck pierce. Burris would be an awesome choice!

As for coach, I think they already hired Paul LaPolice but just aren't saying anything yet. Other good coach candidates are Jacques Chapdelaine, BC; Dave Dickenson, Stamps; Khari Jones, Riders; Matt Dunigan, TSN; Marcel Bellefeuile, WPG; Doug Berry, Als; Mike O'Shea, Argos.

I think O'Shea needs more experience at the next level (Offensive Coordinator), Dunnigan is not coaching material IMHO, Jones isn't yet ready to be a HC but I think he could be a good one eventually. I love Marcel Bellefeuille but can't shake the feeling he will always be a better 2 IC than the head guy. The rest are ready to go and could help Ottawa get off to a great start, for an expansion team of course.

I love that rumour. I think he's a great coach. Any team that gets rid of this guy are crazy.
Team Year Regular season Post season
Won Lost Ties Win % Finish Won Lost Result
WPG 2010 4 14 0 .222 4th in East Division – – Missed Playoffs
WPG 2011 10 8 0 .556 1st in East Division 1 1 Lost in Grey Cup

I thought the Bummers were too quick to get rid of him. IMO
Anyone who knows anything about offence in the CFL will tell you Jaque ball, and or Chap ball will give you CRAP ball.
Dave Dickenson is a Stump. The Huff will go upstairs soon and it will be Dave taking over.
I agree with everything CFLDave said.

The RedBlacks will get a look at another Backup QB for at least the next two weeks with Lulay being injured, Thomas Demarco will have a chance to show what he's got, another possible future Ottawa QB.

So maybe Ottawa will pick Collaros to play the second half of games but will still need someone for the first half.
Seriously though Ottawa has some pretty decent guys to choose from. All they have to do is get it right, no pressure.

The Lions have brought Eliot back. Don't know who's going to start the game now. I'm sure the Redblacks want to see alot more of these guys before making a decision.
WTF Buck wont last a few hits. If Demarco doesn't look good as a starter then this is a good move.
