Argos - Bills protest video-or tee shirt sale? (Bills in TO)

Post by lemme tellya » Mon Apr 07, 2008 5:56 am

I saw this video about the Argos and Bills posted at ticats.ca (of all places) but apparently there were complaints about the video by some members there and the thread got deleted.

There is some swearing in this video, but I got permission from one of the admins here to post a link to it anyway.

Don't watch it if you don't like hearing the odd f bomb or two.

It's a protest video about the Bills playing in Toronto.

Or, it could be a guy just trying to sell tee-shirts.

It may even be a member of 13th man that made this video, who knows?

Agreed, he is trying to sell shirts, but a definate good message.

There is nothing like being at the Grey Cup and having 40-65000 fans singing O Canada.

***wet blanket Alert*** With news today that there's over 100,000 people registered to buy Bills in Toronto tickets I don't think the T-shirts are working!

It costs nothing to register, let's see how fast they write a cheque for $2500 for 8 games or something like that. I gotta wonder if they're claiming that based on hits on their website or actual names/addresses? Personally I wouldn't believe a single word any of those involved say since they are hardly going to admit failure or lower than expected interest at this point in time, are they? They have to create desire if the expected desire isn't there...

Kind of curious that they claim to have over 100,000 people signed up (twice the capacity of the Rogers Centre), and yet they're still taking new registrations. Smells more fishy than 3 day old sushi.
Argos Suck! Since 1869. Accept no substitutions or pale imitiations.

The one true and original. All time head to head won loss record:
Hamilton: 124 W 91 L 2T! Now you know why the Argos Suck!

Nobody cuts off registration for a 'lottery" for tickets in these cases. The more the merrier in marketing.

There is some skepticism in the Toronto media over that 100k figure. For example, Bob McCown claims that the real number is 18k.
There is one thing that no Argo fan should ever forget - Rob Ford, Doug Ford, Paul Godfrey, Phil Lind and Larry Tanenbaum are all pure evil!

So what? Bob is way off a lot of times. (Rider profit anyone?)

McCowan would say anything at this point to try and pull his arse out of the fire...he's been the leader of the "NFL would never want to be in Toronto" dinosaurs all along.

The Argos website says 100k...Bobcat says 18k...which do you beleive?

As for the video and it's leftist tripe of trying to turn this into a class-war...i say F this guy and his T Shirts.
They can sell me a flag but i can't wave it on a stick?

There must've been a lot of flag-on-flag violence incidents in the Rogers Centre...
