Alabama-Texas

Post by argolio » Thu Jan 07, 2010 10:06 pm

I actually came close to my prediction of 38-16 Alabama, but why were they even running plays on their last scoring drive? The Texicans only had one time out so Alabama could have run out the clock. Maybe Saban gets a big thrill from being such a huge a-hole.

Too bad McCoy got hurt, but injuries are a cheap excuse. That's part of the game.

The most reviled & hated football coach in the US... Well, maybe not as Bobby Petrino from Arkansas via the Atlanta Falcons has probably relegated Nick Saban to 2nd place after all... Let's just say one of the most reviled football coaches ever wins a BCS Championship & gets to flip the bird at his NFL detractors, the Miami Dolphins & NFL fans.
I've got soul but I'm not a soldier.

That the last TD has been much debated on by the talking heads on radio here today. Saban was PO'd they scored
it wasn't his call with the time left tlaking a knee was the right call ..

Yup taking the knee would've been completely the right call. End the game on your terms and the celebration could've started with 47 seconds left to play.

I wasn't impressed seeing how little control the coaches had over the Bama players at halftime when they were taunting Gilbert with 3 seconds left on the clock.

Does this mean Alabama is the Miami Hurricanes of the 2010's?

Perhaps. We'll wait and see how these guys handle themselves as pros. Or wait until they attack a mascot...

Kiffin sure has made an impression. Man whoever is next at UTenn should push to bring USC back to town...even a neutral site game in Nashville. That would be fantastic drama!

Gentlemen I think not...there were two things very clear to me last year and that was Florida and Alabama were the two best teams in the country.. Texas has an inflated record as they have a one game schedule and got beat by a better team.. The SEC right now is the best in America ..
One cannot measure a conferance from the top down..you go from the bottom up..
