MMA Fans' Dream Weekend

Post by Dave in Korea » Sun Jul 20, 2008 2:26 am

Anyone catch the action tonight (I guess that's last night now for most of you)?

I can't remember a three-day period (including Monday's Dream card) with so many top-level fights taking place.

Silva destroys Irwin, which wasn't so much of a surprise, but the speed and efficiency he did it with was a sight to see.

Then, Fedor does one better by destroying Sylvia (an actual top-ranked opponent) in even more impressive fashion! That Affliction card had lots of nice fights including wins by Barnett, Arlovski, L'il Nog, and Babalu. There could be some very interesting fights set up for their second show.

And last, but not necessarily least, tomorrow's final round of Dream's 155-lb grand prix tournament along with some other compelling bouts, including Mark Hunt vs Alistair Overeem in the HW division and Canadian Kultar Gill taking on Joachin Hansen! :beauty:
Dream out loud.

Anyone catching the EliteXC card on CBS tonight? Should be some good fights (no Kimbo Slice), especially the Lawler-Smith rematch.
Dream out loud.
