I've been puzzling over why Winnipeg is favoured to win the East. I would have put them at best on par with Toronto and Montreal. Looking at the schedule I think I can figure this one out. Toronto and Montreal face each other 4 times. With the bookies having each team as equals, you could assume that they'll split those 4 games. Winnipeg plays the Ticats 4 times and the bookies figure that the Bombers will do much better than a split. Looks like the thinking is that Montreal, Toronto and Winnipeg are pretty well equal, with the nod going to Winnipeg due to an easier schedule.
Until Akili Smith proves himself to be as effective as Buck Pierce, you have to give the nod to the Lions.
Argos Suck! Since 1869. Accept no substitutions or pale imitiations.

The one true and original. All time head to head won loss record:
Hamilton: 124 W 91 L 2T! Now you know why the Argos Suck!

What they as oddsmakers doesn't seem to acknowledge is the fact that in the Arena, in front of all those Romans, Tigers have a distinct advantage.

Seriously, it's way too early to even know what could happen, and these are preliminary at best, and will allow the House to win some money from bettors. The East is even more up in the air than in other years, if that's even possible; SMS has seen to that.

As for the West, Calgary has the best set of receivers, BC has a large group returning from last year's team, Saskatchewan looked good in preseason, as did Edmonton in the last preseason game where they dominated the Lions.

It's a crapshoot, as it is every year.

Looking at that... I'd go put ten bucks on the Eskimos, simply because they're nowhere near as far out of it as those odds imply. Even the Cats deserve better then THAT...

Seems they nailed that one.
Contrary to popular belief, the most dangerous animal is not the lion or tiger or even the elephant. The most dangerous animal is a shark riding on an elephant, just trampling and eating everything they see.
