Sad to see women degrading themselves like that

Look. We can go round and round about this all the live long day. Let's keep it simple. I embody amazement. Can you dig on that? Good. Then meet me on the corner of rock and roll, and bring a flask of something that burns.

Too bad she couldn't borrow the fashion sense of these two... at least their parents don't have to live with the shame of seeing their child wearing the colours of the Laffs!

This has the potential to be the longest thread in any forum that I have seen. I think the Leafs are doing now what they should have done 3 or 4 years ago-- get rid of the old guard and go younger. I believe that the Leafs' problems go far, far deeper than just mediocre talent, its an organization where mediocrity and losing is accepted, just as long as the team makes money. They know that the fans will show up for games, no matter if they win 70 games in a season or lose that many in a season. No one at MLSE seem to care about winning, just the bottom line of black ink. Another reason why this team is not winning because it is cursed! Its the curse of Harold Ballard, his ghost makes sure they are winners on the balance sheet rather than the scoresheet!

I think we should all give a little tip of the cap to Hollywood2 for keeping this thread going for so long, and making it visually appealing at all times. I'm not an NHL fan in any way, yet I check this thread religiously because of what he posts here.

Thanks Hollywood2.

WENDEL AND DOUGIE TO BE HONOURED

Image

The Toronto Maple Leafs will be honouring two of the greatest players ever this year, namely WENDEL CLARK and DOUG GILMOUR. Two players with heart and skill. Very emblematic of the team they so proudly represent.

Hmmm, I wonder if they would consider making a comeback?

Surprised HW hasn't knocked the cobwebs off this already, especially after the Laffs scored 7 last night... probably more goals then they'll score in the entire first half of the regular season

Leafs win the Clash of Champions!

The NHL chose to have last year's Peoples Champs meet the Stanley Cup Champs on opening night in what was billed as "The Clash of Champions". A title unification game, if you will.

And the Leafs came through with flying colours. Canada's Team, bringing hope to a nation!

NHL President, Count Bettman, missed the game. He tuned in to an episode of Sponge Bob Square Pants and never realized his error until the program was over. He apparently figured Squidward was a referee.

Image Paris Hilton was not in attendance.

Anyhow, time to plan the parade!
